Why Do You Want A Good Web Design and Hosting On A Good Server…?
May 14, 2008
The answer is very simple for this question. Because a good web design attracts user and some time visitor loves the design and bookmark the same site for future visits or for future reference or might be interested in making the same web design for his clients or might be possible he/she will edit the same design. But this is true that your website must have a good design. Not only to attract the internet visitor but also helps in browsing the products & services, so that visitor can reach to the destination with the minimum number of clicks.
Web Designing – While audience creation, advertising and promotions drive traffic to a site, it’s the design that either encourages visitors to explore or drives them away in frustration. A good design is, of course, aesthetically pleasing. More importantly, though, it engages visitors, makes it easy for them to navigate the site and compels them to explore the site further, purchase products and return another day. Attractive graphics that support the company’s message are important. But large graphics that take a long time to load frustrate users. Many visitors won’t wait long enough for the graphic to finish loading. Additionally, visitors are less likely to return to a site that has cumbersome or confusing navigational cues. Selection of a Web Designing Company is always a big game as far as your online business is concern. Web design differs significantly from design for other media. The most important difference is that the Web is interactive, incorporating hyperlinks and devices for immediate visitor feedback. Some sophisticated designs include dynamically generated pages that are custom-tailored to each visitor’s interests, preferences and buying habits. To implement effective designs, our team of web designers and implementers has sufficient technical skills such as HTML coding, scripting and programming in addition to artistic skills. As the navigation reveals the structure and organization of the web site, It should provide a consistence and predictable way to find and focus on the information you want in the smallest possible number of clicks.
Web Site Development
When it comes to the website development, your Web Designing Firm must understand your business requirement and type of business or services you are offering to your customers. The quality of your services and the cost of the services or products. A good web design company can increase your web site traffic by offering a user friendly navigation in the web pages that facilitates user in finding the services & products. And once if user ready to purchase something from your website, my personal experience is, he bookmark the site. But only condition is he/she must got the best deal from your side. developing the web pages is might be a small task but arrangement or the content and intralinking of the web pages is always a important point. A Web Development Company first creates a complete rough website structure and then proceeds for the final structure which would be the best in nature with the design, pages, content arrangement, link color, and link names, CSS in the site, the color combinations and the use of the images. There is no question that when it comes to fast and efficient display of graphics on Web Pages, smaller is better. Techniques optimizing the color depth of the Web – friendly GIF and JPEG images for the fast download and applying simple height and width HTML tags are the secrets of our greatest site design. There are certain factors that search engines do not like. While keeping those factors into consideration, we will create an extremely search engines friendly website. The secret of great page design is to create a page grid, build tables, work with color and use type. Innovation & focus on the target visitor drives our creative team to custom design each site with a right combination of text layout, fonts, colors, backgrounds, pictures, animation’s, icons & bars. At UWS India we do not just develop web pages; rather we nurture your dreams into your website.
Web Hosting
Web hosting is like a supporting hand when it comes to any online business through a website. An excellent web server supports your website in term of web site speed, performance, executing queries, database queries sent by you or your potential customers, enquiry management with its security and best performance with maximum uptime. At any point of time if you or your visitor looks for your site or click on your site link form any location in the world, a good web server returns the response immediately that helps user to browse the site and choose the product & services he/she want. The identities of a good web server are… It must respond to each & every request sent to the server, minimum or limited domains hosted, updated with all new available features and all those features your site requires, security of the website and your database, maximum uptime, and all. You may choose a cheap hosting from any vendor if you are new in the online business through website but if you are a professional, you would not like your site to host on a discounted server with approx 2000 domain hosted or with bad performance. A good Web hosting Company can solve your this downtime, security, features, and performance problems.

Web Developers can be Successful Web Hosting Resellers
May 7, 2008
By becoming a reseller, not only can web developers create websites for their clients, but they can provide their clients web hosting, as another studio service. All you need to become a reseller, is to find a web host who: offers multiple website hosting accounts; along with reseller services; and then its up to you to host your clients web sites from your own account. Your clients will be happy with the low fees you can offer; and, you will have yourself a very profitable side business.
So what do you need to be a successful website hosting reseller?
Multiple domain hosting To become a web hosting reseller, the first step is to get yourself a multiple domain account. For example, if you take out an account that allows up to 6 websites (or domains), you can use one of the domains for development of your own site; and, still have 5 domains to allocate to your clients sites. All you need to do is pay your regular fee to your web host; then, you can charge your clients what ever you like.
Control Panel It is preferable to have full administrative control over your clients web sites. Make sure that, not only does your web host provide you with a control panel that includes full administrative facilities to easily manage your multiple account, but that your host provides your clients with their own control panel too. Most importantly your web host should give you the facility to hide your web hosts identity so clients are unaware that you are offering a third party service. Ensure that you can customize your clients control panel to suit your own requirements.
Terms and conditions Terms and conditions are essential when offering any service, ensure that all your clients have a copy of your terms and conditions. Many resellers forget to create their own terms and conditions, as they are often very time-consuming to write. If you ask a web host you will find that some of them will either let you copy theirs or they will just supply you with terms and conditions specifically written for this purpose.
Fast and reliable support – Fast and reliable, service and support, is essential, from your web hosting company. If something happens to your clients web site it is important to be able to get the problem solved as soon as possible. You dont want clients being unhappy with your hosting services, as this will reflect badly on your other services too.
Reselling can be a very profitable side business if you find the right host. It may take up some of your time, however, if you put the time and effort into providing a little bit extra in your services, not only will your clients be a lot happier you will have a rewarding total web services business.

If you’ve ever browsed the World Wide Web and wondered how you could stake your claim on the Internet, like the millions of others that have done so already, then web hosting can provide you with the services to do just that. The Internet is a great way of sharing information and it is possible for you to take a portion of the web and make it your own. This article introduces the term “web hosting” and provides some useful tips for web development once you’ve obtained some web space.
What is the World Wide Web?
The “World Wide Web” is the network of computers from all over the world that communicate with each other using the HTTP protocol, a language that allows the transmission of web documents. Be careful as this term is not synonymous with the “Internet” because it is defined as a network of networks, where the computers communicate with protocols other than HTTP. The web is what you see on your Internet browser, the web pages complete with graphics, sound and other information. All this has got to come from somewhere, and this is where web hosting comes in.
Web Hosting
The information that you see from your web browser is contained in web pages. These web pages are kept on computers called web servers. Web hosting is about the storage of the web pages so that people can access them. It is possible to host your own websites yourself but the reasons stopping most people doing this is that there are issues to consider with having the right hardware and software to successfully host your web pages. Your web pages will take a certain amount of space, users will need to download each page to view them and your Internet connection needs to be fast to offer good performance to your viewers. Using specialised companies that offer web hosting capabilities on their web servers will take most of these worries away from you but you will need to choose wisely and weigh up the costs and your needs. In addition to having access to a web server, you will also need to register a domain name (for a cost) that uniquely identifies your website.
What Web Hosting Can Do For You
The most basic service that web hosting offers is that it exposes your web pages for others to see. The other services are: email capabilities that allow for email to be received and sent from your server; database capabilities that allow for large amounts of information to be updated and accessed on the web; and dynamic content which allows for users to interact with the web pages you’ve made.
Website Development
Poorly designed websites will most likely turn away users and harm the credibility of the information it contains. Thought should be put in on the way it looks and the way you intend your users to interact with the content. It is also recommended for more complex websites, a structured development process should be followed. Here is a guide to the logical steps of web development:
* Requirements Analysis: What is the purpose of the website? What content should it contain?
* Design: How should the pages be linked? What structure should they take? How should the pages interact with the user?
* Implementation: This step is the actual coding of the websites in accordance to the previous websites.
* Testing: Does the website do what it should?
* Maintenance: Is the information on the website up-to-date?
Some useful hints for web development below are taken from software quality aspects but they apply to the development of websites as well. They are described in terms of web development:
Reliability: Is the website reliable? Do faults allow for the system to continue running?
Robustness: How does the website respond to incorrect input?
Performance: How fast does the web page respond to user’s actions? Is it efficient in processing requests and inputs?
Usability: Is the website easy to navigate and understand?
Maintainability: Is the website easy to change? Can new functionality be added?
Portability: What software requirements does the website require? Will this limit the amount of potential users?
Understandability: How well do you understand the website you’ve developed?
When designing your website, keep these quality aspects in mind as they will help you develop pages worth visiting. How to choose the way to host your website is half of the problem, the other half is to create a website that people would want to visit and come back to. Knowledge of producing a good design can help you get the most out of your creations.

Why It’s Better to Choose a Web-Designer Who Offers In-House Hosting
April 25, 2008
Often when it comes to hosting, there are a lot of options out there and you might end up spending a lot of valuable time looking for an appropriate package. This article outlines why it’s better to choose a web designing firm that offers in-house hosting services and what you need to know to get the most out of your package.
Why do it?
After all, if you’ve managed to find an affordable deal with a supposedly ?great? web hosting company, why not take the deal? There’s great functionality and all for a great price. But what about technical support? If the server goes down at a critical moment, wouldn’t you rather deal with someone reliable whose been dealing with you and your company before rather than some random stranger? Besides, what guarantee do you have that they’ll respond to your query in the first place? They have millions of customers to service, what makes your case special? Yeah sure, you can threaten to leave if they don’t but when it comes down to it: what difference will it really make?
As opposed to working with the in-house hosting services of your existing web design and development firm where you know the staff can be trusted upon to make management easy. And you can guarantee on the fact that they want your business, ensuring if their service is reliable, you can pass on their name to others in your business and personal circles.
Secondly, despite the low costs and ?great features? of other hosting providers, know that cost isn’t everything and quality of service should be the basis of your decision. With a web design firm, you can contact the right official and get a full evaluation of up-time/downtime comparison charts, ask about the availability of added security and even have customised solutions built towards helping your business instead of a standardised, one-size-fits-all solution.
A huge benefit of using an existing web design firm is that installation is fast and easy with relatively no delay between when the site has been completed and when it’s being uploaded. You can’t guarantee a fast turnaround time with normal hosting packages.
Because you know about the existing quality of service regarding all other areas of the web development firm, making a descision regarding the hosting aspects will be a relatively easy decision.
You will be guaranteed a personalised approach to the huge ordeal of locating the appropriate provider and package since the firm will already know (in detail) your existing requirements, goals and objectives and will choose the appropriate deal.
You will also know for certain that the package and provider will be the most suited to run your website and any attending applications and because you are aligning yourself with a web development firm, will have the option of including search engine optimsation support which is a huge advantage over traditional hosters.
By incorporating the firm’s hosting package into your specifications, you will be comfortable with the people you’re dealing with, the customer service and technical support, the knowledge that you will be able to make updates yourself via a customised web control panel, an option to test out a dummy setup to ensure it works for you and a professional to work with you on designing security policies and procedures that are all lacking in hosting with a hosting provider.

6 Ways to Build Websites Without Knowing HTML or Hosting
April 20, 2008
So you want to build a money making website without the hassles of knowing HTML or having to find, or worse, understand all of the technical terms involved in hosting your site?
Although ideally it’s a good idea to buy your own hosting and host your own sites, you can avoid the hassles by simply buying a domain, pointing it toward your new site, and simply promoting your new domain.
You can even use cloaking so your site looks like it’s actually hosted on your domain.
However, to do this, you need to first decide what kind of site you want to build, what products or services you will sell, and what the topic of your website will be.
If you choose a highly trafficked site like one of the sites listed below, you won’t even have to worry about submitting to the search engines. All of this is already taken care of for you.
Once you decide what your products and your topic are, then simply choose the site that best suits your needs. You can even build a list by using a site like Feedblitz.com, and most of these site alternatives already have RSS feeds built in.
If you can cut and paste, you can easily build your own search engine friendly, content rich website.
1. Lulu.com – If you want to sell your own products, which would include books, ebooks, CDs, DVDs, and photos, then this is the site for you. (In other words, this is a great site for writers, artists, and business people who sell their own products, want to expand their product lines from digital to physical and don’t want the hassles of distribution.)
You can build your own store, create your own blog, and offer your products for sale. Lulu offers conversion software to make your ebooks available as books, and for only a 20 percent commission to Lulu, you can sell your products and keep the rest. Lulu will handle your distribution, as well as pay you your royalty checks through Pay Pal.
Once you get your site set up, then all you have to do is continue to add new products, post to your blog if you use it, and promote. What could be easier?
2. Ebay.com – Ebay offers you several options for building a website. You can set up an account, absolutely free, and begin selling your products immediately. You can even use Ebay as a way to gather leads for your business (Small monthly fee involved).
If you choose this route, then you have a few options for building a site.
You can choose to simply sell your products there without the hassles of building a website.
Ebay also offers Ebay Stores, and for a small monthly fee, you can build your own store and sell your own products.
You can also choose to have your own blog at Ebay. This is an option you want to take especially if you are selling products on Ebay. The only limitation is that you can’t add outside links to your blog; you can only add links to products you are selling on Ebay.
Still, with the opportunity to promote on one of the top 20 sites on the internet, and do it free, this is a great option.
(Excellent for those who sell their own products or sell resale products. This includes both digital and physical).
3. CafePress.com – Talk about options! This site is the ultimate. Whether you want to create your own products for sale, or you want to sell millions of products others offer, or even both, you have a choice.
Cafe Press allows you to open your own store and sell your own custom made products whether it’s T-shirts & clothing, posters & prints, housewares, custom US postage, your self-published book, or your own audio or data CDs.
You can set up your store absolutely free, and if you need more space, it’s very inexpensive to upgrade. If you don’t want to sell your own products, you have millions of products to choose from, and you can make an affiliate commission from everything you sell.
What’s even better is that you can take your creations and market them on Ebay and combine these two high traffic sites.
(Primarily for those who want to create their own designs and work like artists and writers. However, since this site offers and affiliate program, anyone can use it to make money and build a website.)
4. Blogger.com
5. Wordpress.com
Both of these are blogging platforms, and each one has its advantages and disadvantages.
With Blogger, you can quickly set up a blog that will be spidered by Google. You can write about just about any topic you want, there are a wide variety of templates, and your blog will be on one of the largest, as well as the most popular, blogging site on the internet. You can also easily add your Google Adsense to your blog.
Wordpress offers more features, including dozens of templates, tagging and categorizing your posts, spell check, photos, and videos.
Both offer a Wordpad type interface, so you don’t even need to know HTML when posting your posts. Just write your post, and when you’re ready, click “Publish Post”.
If you sell your own products, or services, then a blog should be a complement to your main site. However, if you sell affiliate programs, then a blog is a great way for you to offer articles and reviews about the products you sell. You can also offer industry news, as well as any information you think might be helpful to readers.
6. My Space.com – My Space is far more than a blogging platform. It’s a community. With My Space, not only can you set up a blog to talk about your products and services, as well as your area of expertise, you can also network with other people who have an interest in your topic.
My Space offers free classifieds so you can sell your stuff, as well as forums, groups, and audio and video. Your profile is fully customizable, including templates you can find on the internet to create a custom design for your site. You can even add a subscription box for your lists so subscribers can subscribe.
Although there have been some negative things written about My Space, if you’re looking to promote your business, writing, music, or whatever, it’s the place to be. Even if you already have your own website, you’ll want to set up a presence here.
Building a profitable website for your business is crucial to your success. I recommend that anyone wanting to start a business learn basic HTML. However, if you’re just starting off, then you can easily learn the basics using one of these sites.

April 19, 2008

1. How do I register a domain name?
The first thing you’ll need to do is check that the name you want is available. You can do this online and there are lots of companies that also let you register your domain name online. Registration is typically only around ?10 a year. Many designers or hosting providers will sort this out for you.
2. How can I get webspace?
Webspace is space on a computer owned by a hosting company. Your hosting provider will connect your webspace with your domain name so that anyone who types your domain name into their browser will arrive at your website. Prices vary so shop around.
3. How do I sort out the design?
There are four key options. Here they are with a list of pros and cons for you to consider;
Option 1: DIY using a software package such as Microsoft Frontpage

- Potentially time consuming
- Do you have the skillset or, if not, the patience to learn?
- You are on your own if you run into problems
Option 2: DIY using an off the shelf site builder package

Each business will differ, but a typical simple business start up site might consist of;
- a home page to welcome your visitors
- a page containing background information about you & your business
- a contacts or enquiry page (with email form)
- a high level product/services pricing page

Ready to Build a Website? Avoid Cheap Web Hosting Services
April 6, 2008
A couple of years ago, I took a big step and ventured into the world of internet marketing. I had dreamed of owning my own website for a long time and finally bit the bullet and did it. I spent a lot of time, money and energy on my first website – and it flopped! As a result of all my hard work, I ended up with nothing. Here’s why:
The failure of my first website was partially due to my lack of knowledge about keywords, HTML, page optimization and writing for the web. It was mainly due to my choice of a web hosting provider, however. I wanted to spend as little as possible, so I jumped into what I thought was a bargain. I bought a web hosting package for $36 per year that included a free domain name. I thought this was an incredible deal, so I signed up and uploaded my website. Little did I know this would turn out to be a huge mistake…
My “cheap hosting” package turned out to be a nightmare. My site was “down” at least a couple of days out of every week, and customer service was no help at all. This went on for several months, and then one day it was “down” for good. My cheap hosting company had gone out of business. After getting a new website hosting package with HostGator, I discovered that my domain name was gone because the “cheap hosting provider” never registered it in my name. My website and my domain were lost forever, as well as all the time and effort I put into building my site.
I have since rebuilt my initial website, as well as two others that reside on HostGator’s servers. All are doing well and began generating decent income rather quickly. My sites have never gone “down” and my traffic increases every month because I have learned (the hard way) how to build more “efficient” pages and optimize them properly with the right combination of keywords and content.
I’ve spent a lot of time reading SEO (search engine optimization) “tips” from all the so called “experts”, and I’ve spent a lot of money on software, directory listings and eBooks to help me market effectively for the web. Last year alone, I spent over $1000 on my “internet marketing” business, which is still just a “hobby”. I’ve come a long way since taking the “cheap” way out with the lowest priced website hosting I could find, but at least my web business is now showing a small profit.
I’m now in the process of building a fourth website that is hosted by SBI (Site Build It), because I believe it’s important not to put all my websites in one “basket”. SBI provides much more than “website hosting”, and I believe if I had gone with this web hosting provider initially I might now be able to “quit my day job”. The Site Build It hosting package I have includes all the tools I need to successfully create, manage and maintain my website and my web business. There is no need to purchase any HTML software or SEO tools when you use SBI, as all this comes with the hosting package.
Although it is too soon to tell if my SBI-hosted site will perform as well as the sites I built from scratch and host on HostGator’s servers, I am totally impressed with this company and all the tools and assistance they provide me. SBI truly is an “all inclusive” web hosting provider, and I’m grateful to have everything I need right at my fingertips with this account.
The moral of this story is “you get what you pay for” with website hosting, just like anything else in this world. For those just starting out with internet marketing, consider Site Build It hosting as it will get you started off on the right foot. For those who are experienced with HTML and know what you’re doing with regard to marketing on the net, Host Gator is a great choice. Whatever you do, stay away from ultra cheap web hosting services – it’s not worth it!

What You Should Know About Web Design and Hosting

I recently received a call from a business in the Healing & Health industry. This person asked her web design guru for a simple addition to her web page. He refused to do it and told her to log in and do it herself! When she decided to give the web design work to me to do, he deleted her entire web site and database! Are you ever the true ?owner? of a web site that you paid money to own? The people that you as a business owner trust with your entire online business, are these people worth of your trust? Your business is the one way of serving online clients, are the people behind it worthy of your trust? It is no joke to lose a web site that existed for the past 6 years and the database with all your client contact details and the people you resell to monthly!
How can business owners protect their web sites and online assets? Web designers should make a full backup copy available to every site owner on request; right after the web design is complete and online. As the web design progress, a new backup copy should be available to you. Content managed web sites or the so-called Database websites, the actual database and a backup of your normal web design should be available to you. Ask your web design person up front, even before you choose a particular designer, if the source code and web design files would be available to you.
Graphics and content for your web site If you as a business owner pay a person to design graphics and write up content for your web site, you are entitled to this content and in reality the owner of it. Web design Tip: Your web graphics are utilized on letterheads and business stationary ? why pay another graphic designer for this ? insist on the content that is rightfully yours. You own them because you paid for them.
Let us look at domain hosting. I have also come across very suspect hosting companies. Some hosting companies physically disable the standard functions in the control panel of their server, so the owner of a web site cannot log in and create web site backups! Why would they do that? Yes there are space limitations on any hosting server, however why would one keep a backup on the same server? Should the hosting server ever have a problem it would only make sense to have your web design backed up elsewhere.
Let us look at Server Reliability. Some hosting companies look very promising up front. The smaller company that is just entering the wild world of online advertising may find nothing wrong with his hosting company. Now it gets to a point where the business would like to start selling online and promote his services through having an online blog and a bigger better web site is required. Therefore, he pays the regular web design person to do the web design and host it where it was all the time? The business and site gains hacker attention and is down three out of five days! Make very sure your server is secure. If you have to, get your web design done and host it on a server for a probation period. If you are not happy, use your backup copy of your web design and get a reputable hosting company to move the web site for you.
Always think of the future It is very unpleasant and unprofessional to have online clients get to your business web site and it is offline. Error pages drive visitors away and 90% of them will not return as they start to fear that your web site is not trustworthy to open on their computers. Everybody by now knows that often we get lead to suspicious web sites through e-mails. I personally recommend rather paying a little more for a lot more in future by hosting with a reputable company. Support Does the hosting and web design company provide you with a phone number so that you can call them when you have a problem? Do you have to talk to a server through e-mail with hardly any human intervention? I have found that when hosting companies provide you with a phone number to talk to a real person, they more then likely have the structure in place to provide you the excellent service that you need for something as important as your business web site.

To get the best concessions from web hosting resellers, the business or individual can search for these services on the Internet, and request for a quote online.
